  • Individual Psychotherapy

Individual Psychotherapy can be transformative in exploring you’re psyche. The psyche is where we may have repressed, rejected, denied or ignored parts of ourselves that we and/or society deemed unacceptable. When we become aware of these parts and meet them with compassion, we can integrate them and become more fully ourselves. Rather than using our life energy to avoid what we have repressed, we can use that energy in service of living lives with more self awareness, agency, and meaning.

We receive you with allyship and affirmation for Sex-Positivity, LGBTQIA+, BDSM/Kink, Sex Worker, Polyamory/Non-monogamy, and Neurodivergence.

Your healing journey will be encountered with cultural competence, radical acceptance, directness, unconditional positive regard, warmth, and empathy.

In our journey together, we might connect with interventions such as mindfulness, narrative identification, breath work, ritual, values exploration, and cognitive restructuring.

    Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a type of therapy that identifies your core beliefs and attitudes about yourself, others and the world. CBT supports you in understanding how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected and form a narrative of your lived experience. This therapy includes challenging your narrative, exploring patterns of thought that may not be serving you, and restructuring your narrative to be more supportive of your wellbeing. This therapy helps you to identify how your thoughts influence your emotional experience and behavioral action. Through CBT you will be able to identify mental health goals and learn evidence based strategies to achieve your goals.

    Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic Theory is utilized to support your understanding of your unconscious motivations and drives. With Psychodynamic Theory we will explore your early experiences with your primary caregivers and identify the ways those relationships impacted your development of self. By becoming more aware of your motivations, drives and self concept, you are able to liberate your mind-body-spirit from conditioned ways of being that may no longer serve you. With Psychodynamic Theory we will deepen your understanding of your unconscious to provide you with the awareness of choice in every moment.

    Humanistic-Existential Therapy

Humanistic-Existential Theory is utilized to support you in honoring your humanness and meaning of life. With Humanistic-Existential Theory we will explore your potential to achieve and maintain a healthy and meaningful wellbeing. We will discover how you relate to fundamental aspects of living such as your identity, being in existence, freedom, responsibility, and isolation. In this discovery you will be able to deepen your awareness of your own life meaning and become more aligned with your meaning of life.

    Black Psychology

Black Psychology supports your healing journey in identifying your strengths as a Spirit forward person of the African Diaspora. Through Black Psychology we will explore the role of racism to better understand your self concept as a Black Indigenous or Person of Color (BIPOC). With Black Psychology we will explore the interconnectedness of spirit, body, culture, and your mental health. With Black Psychology we will delve into more forms of healing such as movement, community, and ritual.

    Mindfulness/Meditation

Mindfulness/Meditation is a practice that will be learned to support your healing process. It is a form of mental, spiritual, and emotional training that has been supported in historical tradition and science. Mindfulness/Meditation will support your healing journey with practical strategies for increased awareness into your consciousness and Spirit. Meditation/Mindfulness involves the breath and attunement to the: mind, sensations and/or feelings, and mental contents. With Meditation/Mindfulness you will develop a practice that can support your in the moment relief and over all wellbeing.

    Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT will support you in contacting the present moment with mindfulness. ACT requires your commitment to flexible thinking and will allow you to live a value oriented life. In ACT you will gain the skills to minimize avoidance, denial, and challenge with your inner experience. You will explore your capacity to accept your feelings as appropriate responses to life circumstance that do not have to interfere with your life progress and growth.
